NEW YORK CITY, NY (September 14, 1996) - New York City based Sol-R-Veil announced today that is was awarded the contract to furnish its sun control window treatments in the Petronas Towers. The Towers, part of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre at the heart of Malaysia's capital, are the tallest buildings in the World.
"This was the most thorough product evaluation process we have ever been involved with. Because of the unusual architectural design and rigorous technical goals of the project, the architect, designers, and owner were seeking a world-class product that overcame a variety of difficult technical problems including inward and laterally sloped windows, motorized multi-story atrium skylights, strict energy coefficients, and climate. We started working on this project three years ago in consultation with Ceasar Pelli architectural firm. We are gatified that are products and professionalism of our engineering staff was recognized by this process and feel that this award validates that Sol-R-Veil continues to be the leader in the field."
